Day 266

Thank You O Mighty God that all who worship images are put to shame and those who boast in idols are brought low. I worship You alone. Thank You that those who love the LORD hate evil, for You guard the lives of Your faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Light is shed upon the righteous and joy on the upright in heart. I rejoice in You LORD, You who are righteous, and praise Your holy name.

Day 265

I will sing to You, LORD. I will praise Your name and proclaim Your salvation day after day. I will declare Your glory among the nations, Your marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise. You are to be feared above all gods for all the gods of the nations are idols, but You LORD made the heavens. I ascribe to You LORD the glory due Your name. I bring an offering and come into Your courts. I worship You LORD in the splendor of Your holiness. Thank You that You will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in Your truth.

Day 264

I sing for joy to You O LORD; I shout aloud to the Rock of my salvation. I come before You with thanksgiving and extol You with music and song. For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods. I bow down in worship. I kneel before the LORD my Maker for You are our God and we are the people of Your pasture, the flock under Your care. Thank You Dear Good Shepherd.

Day 263

Thank You that You, O LORD, will not reject Your people. You will never forsake Your inheritance. Your judgment will again be founded on righteousness, and all the upright in heart will follow it. Thank You when I said, "My foot is slipping,"; Your love, O LORD, supported me. Thank You when anxiety was great within me, Your consolation brought joy to my soul. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!

Day 262

It is good to praise the LORD and make music to Your name, O Most High, to proclaim Your love in the morning and Your faithfulness at night, for You make me glad by Your deeds, O LORD. I sing for joy at the works of Your hands. How great are Your works, O LORD, how profound Your thoughts! Thank You that the righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the LORD and they will flourish in the courts of our God. Thank You that I will still bear fruit in old age and I will stay fresh and green, proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; He is my Rock".

Day 261

Praise the Lord! It has been a year since I started this journal of praise and gratitude. Lord, You are good and I praise You!
Thank You Lord that I dwell in the shelter of the Most High and rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "You are my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." Surely You have saved me from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. Thank You that You cover me with Your feathers, and under Your wings I find refuge. Thank You that Your faithfulness is my shield and rampart. I will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at my side, ten thousand at my right hand, but it will not come near me. Thank You that You have commanded Your angels concerning me, to guard me in all my ways. I called upon You, and You have answered me. Thank You that You are with me in trouble and have delivered me and honoured me. Thank You that with long life You will satisfy me and show me Your salvation.

Day 260

Thank You O Lord that from everlasting to everlasting You are God. Thank You that You teach me to number my days aright, that I may gain a heart of wisdom. Thank You for Your compassion on Your servant. Thank You that You satisfy me in the morning with Your unfailing love, that I may sing for joy and be glad all my days. Thank You that Your deeds are shown to Your servant, Your splendor to my children. I bless You for Your favour that rests upon me. Thank You that You establish the work of my hands for me.

Day 259

I will sing of the LORD's great love forever; with my mouth I will make Your faithfulness known through all generations. I will declare that Your love stands firm forever, that You established Your faithfulness in heaven itself. The heavens praise Your wonders, O LORD, Your faithfulness too, in the assembly of the holy ones. For who in the skies above can compare with the LORD? Who is like the LORD among the heavenly beings? In the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared. You are more awesome than all who surround You. The heavens are Yours, and Yours also the earth; You founded the world and all that is in it. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; love and faithfulness go before You. Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim You, who walk in the light of Your presence, O LORD. I rejoice in Your name all day long; I exult in Your righteousness. For You are my glory and strength, and by Your favour You exalt my horn. Indeed, my shield belongs to the LORD. Your hand will sustain me; surely Your arm will strengthen me. Thank You that Your faithful love is with me. You are my Father, my God, the Rock my Saviour. Thank You that You will not take Your love from me, nor will You ever betray Your faithfulness. Praise be to the LORD forever! Amen and Amen.

Day 258

Thank You Lord for reviving us again that Your people may rejoice in You. Thank You for showing us Your unfailing love, O LORD, and granting us Your salvation. Love and faithfulness meet together; righteousness and peace kiss each other in You. Your faithfulness springs forth from the earth,and Your righteousness looks down from heaven. Thank You that You indeed give what is good. You are forgiving and good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call to You. All the nations You have made will come and worship before You, O Lord; they will bring glory to Your name. For You are great and do marvelous deeds and You alone are God. I bless You for teaching me Your way, O LORD, and I will walk in Your truth. Thank You for giving me an undivided heart, that I may fear Your name. I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart. I will glorify Your name forever. For great is Your love toward me for You have delivered me from the depths of the grave. For You, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Thank You, O LORD, for You have helped me and comforted me all the days of my life.

Day 257

Heavenly Father, I put on Your armour with gratitude and praise. You have provided all I need to stand in victory against the evil one.
I confidently take the belt of truth. Thank You that deception cannot stand against the bold use of truth.
Thank You for the breastplate of righteousness which is mine by faith in Jesus Christ and all evil must retreat before the righteousness of God.
Thank You for Your provision of the solid rock of peace which is mine through justification and Your peace touches my emotions through prayer.
I bless You for the shield of faith which I lift up daily against all the blazing missiles sent at me.
I recognize that my mind is a particular target of deception and lies. Thank You that I can cover my mind with the powerful helmet of salvation.
With joy, I lift the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word. Daily I choose to live in its truth and power. Thank You that You enable me to confess and use Your rhema Word to defend myself and also to wield this sword to defeat evil.
Finally, I thank You that You help me to keep this armour well oiled with prayer and praise. In Jesus' Name, amen.

Day 256

Thank You Lord for Your people who stood for their faith even in the face of death:
This written prayer is found among notes, papers and books by a young African pastor in Zimbabwe after he was martyred.

I’m a part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I’m a disciple of His and I won't look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.

My past is redeemed. My present makes sense. My future is secure. I'm done and finished with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living, and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits, or popularity. I don't have to be right, or first, or tops, or recognized, or praised, or rewarded. I live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience, lift by prayer, and labor by Holy Spirit power.

My face is set. My gait is fast. My goal is heaven. My road may be narrow, my way rough, my companions few, but my guide is reliable and my mission is clear.

I will not be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed.

I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice or hesitate in the presence of the adversary. I will not negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.

I won’t give up, shut up, or let up until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, and preached up for the cause of Christ.

I am a disciple of Jesus. I must give until I drop, preach until all know, and work until He comes. And when He does come for His own, He'll have no problems recognizing me. My colours will be clear!

Day 255

Loving Heavenly Father, thank You that You are the Father of all who would seek You. Thank You that You are unveiling Your presence among Your people and through us to the community at large. Thank You for drawing near to us that we might experience the awareness of our needs that we may seek You only to meet them. Revival comes as people become more aware of the presence of You, our Holy God. Thank You that You are a God that is not hidden but desire to draw near as we draw near. Hallelujah, what a Saviour we have!

Day 254

Dear Heavenly Father, I worship You in the wonder of Your triune oneness. Thank You, Blessed Holy Spirit, for Your great work of baptising me into the Body of Christ, the Church. Thank You Lord Jesus for continuing Your mighty work of readying Your Church for the Rapture. I rejoice that Your salvation has united me inseparably not only with Yourself but also with every other believer. Thank You that You break the dividing wall of prejudice, pride and partisanship and Your plan of unity rather than uniformity is coming to pass. Thank You that the diversity of Your Body is part of its beauty and appeal to the lost for it adds to Your glory as we love one another in unity despite our diversity. Thank You that victory is ours as we together pull down the divisive works of darkness, bind our enemy and ask the Holy Spirit to supplant all division in believers with a common bond of love in Christ. Thank You that we are ONE BODY, ONE FAITH and ONE LORD!

Day 253

Dear Lord, thank You for all that You are. I praise You for Your unlimited power. You are ready and willing to help me with anything. I praise You for Your boundless love. I know You are committed to what's best for me. I praise You, Lord, for knowing everything. Thank You for having answers to all my questions and solutions to all my problems. I praise You for being the source of all goodness in my life. Thank You for supplying my every need in abundance. I praise You for being my ever-present Good Shepherd. Thank You for being a real, vivid and active power in my life - today, always and forevermore. Most of all, I thank You for Your grace and mercy for You are my ultimate source of joy. Amen.

Day 252

Dear Lord God, thank You for all the positive influences in my life today. Thank You for everyone who has ever prayed for me and also for anyone who will pray for me in the future. Thanks especially for the people who exercise their faith that You have placed in my path and the positive impact they have had on my character. Thank You that You are using me too to pray and help others in their walk of faith. Thank You that You insulate me from experiences that compromise my full potential and You keep me tuned in to the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. I praise You for moving me away from distractions, diversions and discouragement and keeping my thoughts fixed instead on what is true, pure, excellent and worthy of praise. Thank You that nothing guards my heart more than being in Your will. Thank You Father for protecting me from any person or relationship that would slowly prod me down the wrong path. You have caused me to become hypersensitive to the Holy Spirit and helping me to discern the people in my life and the sometimes subtle influence they have on my spiritual, emotional, mental and physical habits. Thank You that You bring wise, genuine friends into my life to strengthen it and dissolving any ties with those who weaken my relationship with You. In Jesus' Name, amen and amen!

Day 251

Thank You Father God that I am a son of the Most High. For all the nations are Your inheritance and You alone are the Most High over all the earth. How lovely is Your dwelling place, O LORD Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for Your courts O LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out to You the living God. O LORD Almighty, You are my King and my God. Thank You that You bless those who dwell in Your house and they are ever praising You. Blessed are those whose strength is in You, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage. Thank You that I go from strength to strength. Better is one day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. Thank You that You are my sun and shield and You bestow favour and honour to me. Thank You that no good thing do You withhold from those whose walk is blameless. O LORD Almighty, thank You that You bless the man who trusts in You.

Day 250

Dear Father God, thank You that You help me to live intentionally, particularly when it comes to what I read, watch and listen to on a consistent basis. Thank You that You guide me to allow into my soul only those words, sounds and images that support who You want me to become. I praise You for guarding the door of my heart and for keeping me from becoming careless about the inputs of each day and the effect my environment can have on my potential. Thank You that You give me discernment that shows me if I have any current exposures that are not pleasing to You and that You lead me to make changes so I can experience Your presence in a deeper and fuller way. I bless You that You inspire me, hour by hour, to fill my mind with everything good and that You remind me that everything counts as what I sow, sooner or later I will certainly reap.
